The birds are chirping and the sun is out, yes must be Friday. I am not sure if I am looking forward to this weekend or not. It just seems like a busy weekend, I just want to sit at work and hide behind my documentations and excel spreadsheets. As I sit here looking out the window, the weather seems so beautiful I want to go out and roll down the hills. But it’s deceptive, because even if the sun is shining the wind is killing it outside. I can see the trees moving like they are already buzzed and dancing furiously to the music of the wind. I sometimes wonder do we ignore the obvious to see what we want to. I mean the trees were always moving, but I chose just to see the sun and call weather deceptive.
If we pay attention to our surroundings and to the people and things in our lives; we come to know that everybody is an open book. We are all just waiting to be read, not everybody knows our language though. Our underlying thing is the same the need to connect; in the end we all speak the same language. I am guilty of the same mistake, where it is right in front of me but I zone it out. Then I go on and get mad at the other person for being or doing something that is out of context. Lessons are to be learned from everything in life, today I did from trees. They are not resisting the flow of the wind, but just swaying happily to it.
It took me a while to realize to stop fighting the flow and just go with it. I know heard many times but when you really get it, your life truly changes. The most important lesson learned of 2014 for me was that the things will come to you, but only when the time is right. Don’t give up on your dreams and wishes. Hope is what keeps us alive and faith is what makes all things possible.
Now on a silly note, I had this guy contact me on Match last night. This was the same guy who contacted me on another site three wait four years ago. Well that was an interesting conversation we had. He is not from the area, a few states over. I was fortunately no unfortunately visiting my friend Yang at that point in the same area. So I thought okay great reach out, be proactive and I did. My mum was with me for this trip, I put aside my ego and talked and of course he wanted to meet. So I said yes sure that is good, I mean I get it you have to meet to get to know the person. I asked for the time and the place, I am always excited to try new places. In my mind I think I was more excited to eat at a new place than to see him. So this guy invites me to his place and tells me lets order pizza and why don’t you come over; we can talk here at the apartment itself. I mean DOH I do look naïve but I am anything but that. So I tell him sure that would be perfectly fine, since we are meeting at your apartment make sure you order enough pizza for three. I will bring my mum with me, might as well get the whole thing fixed in one go. Needless to say I never heard from him then. I have since then heard from him on every other dating site. Some guys will never learn! This is why people give up on dating sites; a rotten apple can leave a bad taste. But the same rotten apple over and over again just kills you.
Oh well a happy weekend ahead, lots to do and recipes to post. Super Bowl YAYY!!!! GO PATRIOTS!
